Ethnic Veins & Some Nautanki

Felt it was about time for a tribute to the beauty of Indian ethnicity in my style’s own way. Excuse me for skipping the sarees, the lehengas, the anarkalis but I tried to brew an ethnic storm by piecing together items from my closet that has traditional leanings.
One thing that struck me in all fashionable delight for my ethnic drama was the herdsmen and women of Rajasthan.
Their traditional charm, brightness and the amount of style they flock around with in the most oblivious fashion is truly something worth experimenting.
The multi colored skirt, the turban and the statement nose ring was all I could unearth from my possession but the boldness each item owned convinced me I was set for an ethnic tale.
I was sure that I wasn’t embarking on a conventional ethnic look therefore my checkered blazer, cinched belt and my leather shoes.
Maybe a tad disappointing if one’s definition of Indian ethnic wear revolves around the six yards of elegance and grace.
But I thought why not extract our ingenious ethnic allure and fuse it with something avant garde in order to give our traditional style the acknowledgment of its versatile magic.
