Remember my trip to Mumbai last month for the Max ss15 preview? A tad too late but this trip needed a detailed recap for all.
To begin with I have a confession to make. This happened to be my first trip to Mumbai but I cannot really comment on whether I love/hate the city because I was there just for a day. I seriously wish that I could have stayed a little longer so that I can at least see the beach and visit the gate way of India. Maybe someday.
Coming to the interesting part of the post is the Max SS 15 preview which made this extra quick trip worth the hustle. Max SS15 preview was a fun interactive event unlike many others. The excitement was also in having co-bloggers from across cities come together for the do. It was a pleasure to finally meet my fellow bloggers though we have all been virtually connected.
The event produced a very stroll in the garden kind of an environment. From cute little printed floral dresses to tropical printed shorts and skirts, pastel hued bottoms, tanks and flats. Cuts and silhouettes were simple and defined. My personal favorite was their bohemian collection. There wasn’t a single piece that I did not want to take home. And to be honest I totally dig bohemian style. More because I’m a huge fan of the Olsen twins.
The Men’s collections were no less when it came to colors and prints. The clothes weren’t restricted to just beach but yet it took a casual turn with comfortable shirting, shorts and more making the season’s grade.
Commenting on the SS15 collection, Design Head Max, Kamakshi Kaul says, “We are taking the prints to the next level, inspired by beach views, rain forest and juicy fruits. And a lot of vibrant in terms of colors”.
C S Shekar, President & buying head of Max Fashion further went on to mention, “We are bringing in the latest international trends for Indian consumers and audience”.

Lastly few of the bloggers were engaged to create a look from their SS15 Collection which was later posted on their Facebook page to run a contest called, “people’s choice award” where the one with maximum likes receives a grand prize from the brand. Though the reward seems so appealing, the whole running around the store looking for pieces to create my own personal inspired look was more fun.
As I mentioned earlier, bohemian is my style, so I created the look around it. The whole idea was to be chic, stylish and practical. The white kurti was clubbed with a black palazzo pants and a white waist coat over it. Just to add a lil fun I added the Aztec printed tote bag and an embellished flat.
