Earlier this month I attended the launch of a smart phone – PASSION 660 – from PHICOMM.
Though I’m not a gadget fiend, I do love to own a good set of gadgets.
Most of my work is done through my smart phone and it is very important for me that my phone performs at its best.
The 5 important things I consider before buying a smart phone are:
- Battery Backup
I’m a full time fashion blogger and most of my work involves capturing images and being a narcissist taking endless seflies is a must. Having said that, I have to make sure whatever I capture should be tack sharp and clear. I’m always glued to my phone either making calls, replying to mails or just browsing, so the battery backup has to be really good. And while I’m doing all these the speed shouldn’t be compromised either.
Before I start reviewing the Passion660 I’d like to make an honest confession that I’m not a tech nerd and I won’t be explaining or using terms like the tech nerds do. Basing on my smart phones criteria above I’d share my experiences and how I feel about the phone.
The 3 main reasons why I might be switching my loyalties to Phicomm Passion660 from iPhone 5s are:
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Octacore processor.
There’s no lagging while multi tasking and does not slow down the phone’s performance. Meaning I can take pictures, edit and upload, play games, check my e-mails, listen to music etc..
Stunning Quality Images:
The 5 MP front camera with ultra wide view angle gives amazing picture quality.
The wide angle front camera allows us to fit more people in the frame while taking wefie/groupfie which is a great feature.
According to me, the front camera performs better than the rear. The 13 MP rear camera also does a decent job on well lit situations.

Slim & Light:
PHICOMM Passion 660 is one of the thinnest and lightest smart phones I’ve come across. It weighs only 110 grams and has a thickness of 7.3mm
This phone is so light that I don’t have to worry about my pinky finger to support the phone. And now I can use this phone longer without any pain in my hand.
Though this phone comes in with a 2300mAh battery, it does not have a great back up.
And with the amount of work I do this set as a draw back. But then again, I face the same problem with my iphone 5s.
Let’s be honest no matter how advanced the gadgets are, the fact still remains that battery backup always falls short. Most of the smart phones in the market, though they come with amazing features the battery issues still remains the same.
I’m so comfortable with my iPhone 5s size that it becomes difficult for me to hold Passion660 with one hand especially while using front camera. Other than that I guess maybe with time one can get use to it.
