Earlier last week a much needed DIY session was organized by ITC-John Players, a leading men’s fashion brand, at their Lajpat Nagar store, New Delhi.
Before we could head on to the DIY section that were arranged for the bloggers, John Player’s head designer Neha, shared a brief on their new Autumn winter 2016 collections.
“Cool, stylish and full of life, this season John Players collection is all about patterns and colours. The collection emphasizes on the core qualities of millennials: cool yet urbane. This season John Players Jeans takes the distressed denim to another level. The patch on/ patch off denim with washed denim shirts will take your swag to the next level.
Inspired by global fashion, JPJ brings to you a range of coolest and the most striking of colors like coral orange, sour green, gold moss and deep teal. And your favorite indigo denim is obviously there to enable the full range of looks in jeans.
Denim in multiple styles, fits, unique washes and treatments with various fabric options are a must have for AW 2016. JPJ’s patch on/patch off denim with washed denim shirts is the hottest trend. Biker jackets and contrast lining jackets with great detailing makes one stand apart from the crowd. A denim on denim look still rules the roost. You could pair a distressed denim with washed denim shirt to make your impression last longer.
The season’s collection also boasts of jogger pants with easygoing details and an athletic-inspired silhouette, cut in pant fabrics for the most chilled out looks.”
The bloggers were given a variety of DIY collection jeans for customization along with patches, sequins, paints, scissors etc. Everybody got on with their creative side and started with their DIY process.
I kept my DIY customization pretty simple and neat and allowed my creative side to work on patches. I managed to stitch small patches of fabric on to the back pocket of the jeans. Given the time I was pretty pleased with the end result. Right after the DIY session I created 2 looks from their AW collection.
Below are the images of the two looks that I styled.
